Overseas Absentee Voting Act, is a law in the Philippines officially known as Republic Act No. 9189, which was passed on February 13,2003.
This law provides for a system for citizens of the Philippines currently residing and working outside the country to vote in an election. This act was a consolidation of Senate Bill No.2104 and House Bill No. 3570, implemented by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
WHO CAN VOTE? ONLY Filipinos who were able to register at the DFA Philippine embassy in Seoul or POEA before traveling can vote.
Voting booths will be open for 8 hours, based on their regular office hours with lunch break from 12:00 – 1:00pm
