Ilsan Lake Park is popular for the international flower festival in spring and was our afternoon delight last weekend. It’s a man-made park and considered one of the largest in Asia.
Spring season is the best time to visit this place that is when you want to see the grandiose display of flowers from around the world. Also the cherry blossoms surrounding the lake are a grand sight.
Yet, the changing of the color of leaves in fall is quiet a sight too. Ilsan lake park has great landscape of nature and it offers a running track, biking lanes, picnic grounds, rose garden in May-June, mini zoo, fountain and on some occasions a music and cultural performances.
We passed by the rose garden and moved around the park. Leisurely spent half of the day and enjoyed the cool wind under the trees just like other locals.
Want to visit too and enjoy the picnic grounds? From exit 2 of Jeongbalsan Station line 3, walk towards Ilsan Lake Park direction for 5 minutes.
